Director of Photography : Steven Ackerman
Steve Ackerman comes from a showbiz family, with a poducer father and two actress
mothers. He has been in the business for over 25 years, working his way through the ranks as driver, driver/grip, driver electrician, best boy, gaffer and finally Director of Photography.
He has shot over 300 commercials, several music videos, TV shows, short films and feature length films.
At this point in his career, he would prefer to work on films that feature good writing, good casting, good direction and an honest effort from good people. He has discovered that this is not as simple as one might think.
Production Designer : S. A. Sizemore
S. A. Sizemore, born in Santa Monica, California, has primarily done work in the theater. OUT OF STEP is her first film project.
Although her credits range from director to set designer to actor, Sizemore’s first love is writing. She honed her craft with Playwriting classes at UCLA and a theater degree from Cal Lutheran University. After two producing two of her plays as an undergraduate (one receiving an American College Theatre Festival nomination), Cal Lutheran’s Theater Department honored Sizemore by naming its Playwriting Award after her.
With works ranging from comedy to drama, historical to feminist pieces, Sizemore produced six of her plays by the time she was twenty-five. A portion of her play, WHERE THE UNKNOWN GOD ABIDES, is published in More Monologues by Women for Women.
Sizemore has been a member of the Dramatists Guild since 1994. She enjoys kayaking off the California coast and summited Mt. Whitney in 2005. Currently, Sizemore is developing a feature film script about a young Native American who survives the Trail of Tears and a television series, SALEM, about a young woman who must stop a vampiric witch from bringing about the End of Days.
